I BEElieve...

In the value of asking
Sometimes this means asking seemingly silly questions. Sometimes it means asking the big questions that can push the limits of the goals of a product. Or not.
But it's always worth posing the question.
People should think less
I aspire to help people think less about things they shouldn't have to think about. Using product, systems, processes and interfaces should not take too much thought - after all, we all already have busy and complex lives.
By streamlining and simplifying them users can think less. And that's better.
In holistic problem solving
Everything is connected. By considering previous research and work done in other fields that could be related, I am able to utilize resources in an efficient way to draw new conclusions.
People matter
People are fascinating. I care about understanding everyone's differing backgrounds, experiences, talents, interests, strengths, abilities, limitations, goals and current situations. These things matter.
They affect how people interact with their environment and those around them—understanding what makes a person beyond their standard demographics matters.
In having fun
Outside of my professional life, I have a love for outdoor recreation. In the winter I love to downhill ski. I used to ski race and still even find free-skiing thrilling. In the summer kayaking or laying on the beach is my happy place. There is nothing like listening to nature with the sun on your face.

I also have a major crafty side. Lately, I've been making my own graphic designs and converting them to machine embroidery to put on shirts and sweatshirts.

Additionally, I have started a side business taking LinkedIn headshots for professional student groups and Greek organizations.
